Apelabs Neon Pix Install  (Ape Labs Neon Pix (non-battery))

Mains-Powered Multipixel LED Tube Light

The Ape Labs Neon Pix INS is a mains-powered, 1-meter RGBWW pixel tube designed for permanent indoor and outdoor lighting installations. Its 96 LEDs are divided into 32 individually controllable pixels, producing smooth animated effects, homogeneous 180° illumination, and warm white output without visible LED dots.

MusikMode: 1-Button Light Show

Ape Labs MusikMode allows compatible Ape Labs fixtures to automatically work together and create a coordinated light show that responds to music. With no traditional DMX programming required, connected fixtures distribute complementary colors and effects across the lighting system to create a synchronized, continuously changing presentation.

DMX-Like Control via Grouping

The Neon Pix INS can be assigned to one of four control groups through a compatible Ape Labs remote or the Ape Labs smartphone app. Users can independently adjust each group’s color, brightness, programs, effect speed, and strobe settings without changing fixtures assigned to other groups.

Multiple groups can also be controlled simultaneously, while the app provides scene creation and cloud-based storage of personal fixture settings. Ape Labs CONNECT is required for smartphone app and Ape Labs wireless DMX control and is sold separately.

Ape Labs Ecosystem

  • Four-group control for flexible multi-fixture operation
  • MusikMode for synchronized music-responsive light shows
  • Wireless app and Ape Labs DMX communication at approximately 4,000 feet
  • Automatic wireless signal repeating from fixture to fixture
  • CRMX wireless DMX compatibility
  • Multipixel presets controllable through the app and compatible remote
  • Automatic integration with compatible Ape Labs fixtures

Ape Labs Neon Pix INS Description

The Ape Labs Neon Pix INS brings the pixel control and homogeneous output of the battery-powered Neon Pix to a mains-powered format developed specifically for permanent installations. Without an internal battery or included power supply, it is well suited for venues, architectural projects, scenic installations, retail environments, studios, and other applications where continuous low-voltage power is already available.

The 1-meter polycarbonate tube contains 96 LEDs divided into 32 individually controllable RGBWW pixels. This high pixel density supports detailed chases, flowing gradients, animated color effects, and smooth transitions while maintaining an even illuminated surface without visible LED dots. A 180° beam angle spreads the light widely across walls, ceilings, scenery, and room interiors.

Dedicated 2700K Warm White LEDs provide natural white output with a CRI of 90, while the RGB emitters create saturated colors and subtle pastel tones. The fixture produces up to 750 lumens and operates flicker-free above 2 kHz, making it appropriate for live video, photography, broadcast studios, and camera-heavy event environments.

Control options include CRMX wireless DMX, Ape Labs CONNECT wireless DMX, the Ape Labs smartphone app, and a compatible Ape Labs remote. Four DMX configurations range from basic whole-tube RGBWW control to complete 128-channel programming of all 32 pixels. Each fixture also acts as an automatic wireless repeater, helping extend the network through large venues and installation sites.

The IP65-rated polycarbonate body and aluminum end caps provide dependable protection for indoor or outdoor use. Two removable neodymium magnets allow fast attachment to suitable metal surfaces, while five M6 mounting threads offer additional installation flexibility. Fanless operation keeps the tube silent, and the included M6 eyelet provides an additional safety option.
