Denon DJ PRIME 4 G2 Description
The Denon DJ PRIME 4 G2 expands the PRIME standalone workflow with hardware designed for more expressive, performance-driven DJing. Its 16 MPCe pads respond to both velocity and pressure using 3D-sensing technology, allowing compatible functions and parameters to react dynamically to how each pad is played. Dedicated Stems controls provide quick access to Acapella and Instrumental separation, while Stems pad mode, Stem Level EQ, and Stem effects create additional options for live remixing and transitions.
Two full-size 8-inch jog wheels provide a spacious performance surface with integrated visual feedback for stem status and cue position. The 10.1-inch, 1280 x 800 optically bonded multi-touch display provides access to music libraries, waveforms, performance functions, mixer routing, effects, microphone controls, lighting, and system settings. Five 45 mm faders cover the four mixer channels and crossfader, with a side-mounted design intended to reduce exposure to dust and debris while maintaining smooth operation.
The effects architecture is built for layered creative control. Two dynamic Main FX modules provide more than 25 effects with toggle paddles and Favorite FX controls, while 10 reactive Touch FX can be manipulated directly from the touchscreen. Fader FX add fader-triggered processing, and each mixer channel has a dedicated Sweep FX control with four selectable effect types. Combined with the system's Stem processing, these tools allow DJs to reshape tracks without interrupting the core mixing workflow.
For professional events, PRIME 4 G2 provides balanced XLR Main, Booth, and Zone outputs along with independent Zone playback capabilities, two microphone inputs, Line/Phono inputs, Bluetooth audio, multiple USB connections, SD media support, and an internal SATA drive bay. Integrated Engine Lighting with a physical DMX output can control a full 512-channel universe directly, while compatible SoundSwitch hardware can expand control to as many as two universes. The result is a standalone system designed for club DJs, mobile entertainers, private-event DJs, houses of worship, production companies, and performers who want audio, lighting, Stems, and media management from one platform.
