LD Systems MAILA SAT Description

The LD Systems MAILA SAT is a true line array element engineered for precision coverage and efficient energy distribution. Its coaxial configuration places five vertically aligned 1" dome tweeters in front of a 6.5" horn-loaded midrange driver with a 1.8" voice coil and neodymium magnet. This Advanced WaveAhead® design, combined with dual SonicGuide® waveguides, delivers a classic line array radiation pattern with strong throw and controlled dispersion.

The five 1" titanium dome tweeters are vertically arranged to provide a smooth 100° horizontal by 8° vertical beam angle without the need for a compression chamber. This results in natural high-frequency response and consistent audience coverage. A phase plug in the midrange driver enhances efficiency while reducing heat buildup, contributing to improved overall performance.

Despite its compact size, the integrated passive membrane extends low-mid response down to 100 Hz, providing additional punch and body. With peak SPL ratings up to 129.1 dB (pink noise), MAILA SAT offers impressive output capability for its size, making it suitable for small to mid-size venues and scalable array deployments.

Setup is streamlined thanks to SmartLink+®, allowing cable-free mechanical, signal, and power connections between satellites, MAILA COL column modules, and MAILA SPA amplifier modules via robust aluminium rails. The patented EasySplay® mechanism, integrated into the rear handle, enables continuous angle adjustment from 0° to 8° with one hand—even under load—allowing precise sound coverage tuning for any environment.
