Native Instruments Traktor MX2 Description
The Native Instruments Traktor MX2 gives DJs direct control over Traktor Pro 4 through a familiar 2-channel mixer layout with channel faders, 3-band EQ, level meters, a crossfader, and pitch controls. Two touch-sensitive high-resolution jog wheels support both Turntable and Jog modes, making it easy to beatmatch, cue, browse through tracks, scratch, or perform rewinds.
For creative performance, the MX2 features 16 RGB pads arranged across the two decks. Hotcue mode provides instant access to important points within a track, while Stems mode works with Traktor Pro 4 stem separation for control over drums, bass, instruments, and vocals. Flux Loops provide hands-on looping options, and Pattern Player turns the pads into a live step-sequencing interface for layering additional rhythmic elements into a mix.
Effects control is equally comprehensive. Dedicated Mixer FX controls provide quick one-dial access to nine effects for transitions, buildups, and drops, while two full Deck FX units provide deeper control over more than 40 studio-grade Native Instruments effects. The controller also includes dedicated browsing, pre-listening, favorites, and preparation controls to reduce reliance on the computer while performing.
An integrated 24-bit audio interface supports sample rates up to 96 kHz and provides RCA and 1/8-inch master outputs, dual-format headphone connections, and a balanced 1/4-inch microphone input. Its customizable LEDs and RGB backlit bottom shell provide clear visual feedback in dark environments, making the MX2 well suited for bedroom DJs, streaming setups, parties, mobile use, and live performances.
