Native Instruments Traktor X1 MK3 Description
The Native Instruments Traktor X1 MK3 is built around a compact, modular control surface for DJs who want direct access to Traktor's playback, looping, effects, and mixing functions. It can control two Traktor decks and four FX units, making it especially useful alongside a club mixer, audio interface, CDJ setup, or additional Traktor controllers.
Five OLED displays keep important performance information directly on the hardware. DJs can view track progress, track names, loop sizes, selected effects, effect parameters, and mixer information while spending less time looking at the computer. Dedicated encoders and tactile controls provide fast access to browsing, loops, playback functions, and effects during a set.
A switchable Mixer Mode expands the controller beyond effects and deck control by allowing the X1 MK3 to operate channel EQ and level functions. Customizable RGB backlighting and ambient illumination help identify control groups, while the integrated notification system can warn when a track is nearing its end or indicate that a loop is active.
The X1 MK3 can operate from USB bus power for a streamlined portable setup. Its integrated 3-port USB hub can also connect additional compatible devices, with the included 15 VDC power supply used when powering the hub. With no built-in audio interface, the controller is designed to integrate into modular DJ systems where audio routing is handled by a mixer, audio interface, or other compatible hardware.
