On-Stage SB9600 Description

The On-Stage SB9600 provides the height and horizontal reach needed for overhead microphones, large instruments, drum kits, room microphones, and other demanding studio setups. The stand adjusts from 44 to 80" high and uses screw-knob adjustments for secure positioning.

Its boom consists of two straight shafts with a combined length of 82", along with a 7" mini boom extension for additional positioning flexibility. Solid threaded boom ends with washers allow the boom sections to be connected or disassembled as needed, making it possible to configure the stand according to available studio space and microphone placement requirements.

The boom clutch uses 2" mating disks with 40 locking teeth to help maintain the selected angle. A sliding 7 lb counterweight can be positioned and locked along the boom to balance the microphone and improve stability when working at extended reach.

Built from steel tubing, the SB9600 uses a 120° folding tripod base with a spread of up to 48". The wide stance and low center of gravity provide stable microphone support, while the folding design makes the stand easier to store and transport between sessions.
