The sE Electronics sE8 Supercardioid PAIR is designed for stereo recording applications that require accurate localization, consistent microphone response, and increased source isolation. Each pair is carefully selected from individual microphones to provide close performance matching, helping produce a clear and stable stereo image.

Each microphone features a handcrafted 1/2-inch true condenser capsule with an ultra-thin 3-micron gold-sputtered diaphragm. A precision-engineered backplate and electrode design provide fast transient response, smooth frequency reproduction, and natural tonal balance across a wide variety of acoustic sources.

Transformerless Class-A electronics provide a clean signal path with excellent clarity, low noise, and high dynamic range. Switchable -10 dB and -20 dB attenuation pads make it possible to close-mic high-output sources such as drums, brass, and percussion, with maximum SPL handling reaching 159 dB when the -20 dB pad is engaged.

Each microphone also provides selectable 80 Hz and 160 Hz low-cut filters with a 6 dB-per-octave slope for controlling low-frequency rumble and excessive bass. Durable all-metal bodies help reject electrical interference, while gold-plated XLR connectors provide reliable signal connections.
