It is equally comfortable bringing individual sources forward in a mix, controlling peaks during recording, or adding cohesion and energy across subgroups and stereo buses.

With selectable ratios of 2:1, 4:1, and 10:1, plus adjustable attack and release times, the MythVCA 500 can respond gently to preserve musical detail or clamp down harder when more obvious compression is needed. The auto-release mode helps the compressor respond more musically to changing source material.

A built-in low-cut filter from 60 Hz to 120 Hz adds further flexibility by reducing low-frequency influence on the detector circuit, which is especially useful for keeping bass-heavy material from over-triggering compression.
