The Yamaha CXS18 MK3 is the largest model in Yamaha’s latest CXS MK3 passive subwoofer series, built for users who need maximum low-frequency authority from a passive enclosure. It combines high output capability with a refined acoustic design, making it well suited for live venues, production companies, houses of worship, and installed sound systems that demand deep and controlled bass response.

Its 18-inch cone woofer uses Yamaha’s proprietary long-excursion, high-durability design and a robust 4-inch voice coil to support high output and dependable performance. The ideal bandpass structure works with large-diameter ports and a high-performance grille to reduce wind noise and unwanted cabinet resonance, helping the subwoofer reproduce clear, powerful, and deep low-end even at higher output levels.

The plywood cabinet is acoustically optimized for sound quality and finished with a durable black polyurea coating to help protect the enclosure from scratches and impacts during transport, setup, and teardown. For flexible system integration, the Yamaha CXS18 MK3 includes dual speakON NL4MP connectors and dual pole socket compatibility with both 35 mm and M20 threaded poles.
