Yamaha DXR15 MK3 Description

The Yamaha DXR15 MK3 is built for users who want the deepest low-frequency extension in the DXR mk3 powered speaker family without stepping up to a separate subwoofer. Its 15-inch low-frequency driver and 1.75-inch high-frequency compression driver work together in a 2-way bi-amped bass-reflex design that makes it especially well suited for mobile DJs, live bands, event production, houses of worship, and venue applications where strong full-range performance is a priority.

Powered by a newly developed 2000W Class-D amplifier, the DXR15 MK3 delivers up to 134 dB SPL while maintaining clarity and precision. Yamaha’s FIR-X tuning combines linear-phase FIR filtering with corrective EQ to improve crossover behavior and minimize phase distortion, while Drive Motion Calibration helps the low-frequency driver respond more accurately for more linear bass reproduction. This gives the speaker solid low-end authority while preserving detail and articulation through the mids and highs.

The lightweight form-injection molded polypropylene enclosure is designed for durability, portability, and practical setup flexibility. Its symmetrical cabinet supports consistent monitor placement, while dual-angle pole sockets allow either straight or -7 degree down-tilted mounting for better audience coverage. Integrated rigging points and compatibility with the optional UB-DXR15A U-bracket make the cabinet suitable for suspended and installed applications as well.

For greater control, the speaker includes DSP modes for FOH/MAIN, MONITOR, DJ, LIVE MUSIC, SPEECH, and OFF, along with AUTO V/H POSITION for automatic mode switching based on cabinet orientation.
