Yamaha MGP24XA
(Yamaha MGP24X-A)
24-Input Analog Mixing Console
The Yamaha MGP24X A combines the familiar hands-on workflow of an analog mixer with integrated digital effects, dynamics, and recording capabilities. Its 16 microphone inputs, four stereo input channels, flexible bus architecture, and USB device recorder make it a practical mixing solution for live performances, presentations, worship services, event production, and permanent installations.
Yamaha MGP24X A Competitive Differences
- 16 discrete Class-A D-PRE microphone preamps provide detailed, low-noise input amplification
- Eight channels of one-knob compression offer fast dynamics control on channels 9–16
- Independent REV-X and SPX effects processors can operate simultaneously
- X-pressive EQ provides musical analog-style tone shaping on the mono input channels
- Six AUX sends and two FX sends support monitor mixes, external processors, and flexible signal routing
- Built-in master compression and graphic EQ provide additional control over the stereo mix
- Direct USB device recording captures the stereo mix in WAV or MP3 format
- Two matrix outputs and a dedicated mono output support multi-zone and installed sound applications
Yamaha MGP24X A Description
The Yamaha MGP24X A provides 24 line inputs arranged as 16 mono input channels and four stereo input channels. Its 16 balanced XLR microphone inputs accommodate vocals, instruments, wireless systems, and other sources while providing independent 48V phantom power and high-pass filtering on each microphone channel.
Yamaha discrete Class-A D-PRE microphone preamps are designed to capture incoming signals with clarity and natural tonal detail. X-pressive EQ provides responsive frequency shaping, while eight one-knob compressors make it easier to control vocal and instrument dynamics without requiring complicated menus or external processors.
Two independent onboard effects engines expand the console’s sound-shaping capabilities. The REV-X processor supplies high-resolution reverb programs, while the SPX processor provides a selection of modulation, delay, reverb, and combination effects. Both processors can be used at the same time for more flexible live mixing.
Four group buses, six AUX sends, two matrix outputs, a mono output, master compression, graphic EQ, and direct USB recording and playback make the mixer suitable for live bands, DJs, corporate events, schools, houses of worship, performance venues, and installed audio systems.
