Allen & Heath AH-SQ-5-PLUS Description

The Allen & Heath AH-SQ-5-PLUS builds on the SQ platform with a larger 9" touchscreen, reimagined dark GUI, enhanced processing power, and updated carbon-on-graphite surface styling. Its 48 input channels and 44 buses make it suitable for demanding live sound, installation, broadcast, and recording workflows.

The console includes 16 professional XLR mic/line preamps, 12 XLR outputs, stereo aux inputs, AES3 digital output, and a 128x128 SLink port for connection to Allen & Heath remote I/O expanders and other compatible consoles. A dedicated I/O card slot supports optional Dante, Waves, MADI, or additional SLink expansion.

For processing, the AH-SQ-5-PLUS includes full input and mix channel tools such as HPF, gate, PEQ, compressor, GEQ, inserts, and DEEP processing support. It also includes eight RackExtra FX engines and four RackUltra FX engines with dedicated sends and returns for professional reverbs, delays, modulation, pitch, saturation, and other effects.

The 17 motorized 100mm faders, assignable soft keys, channel LCD displays, and drag-and-drop strip layout make it fast to build a custom workflow. Integrated USB recording, SQ-Drive capture/playback, AMM automatic mic mixing, and remote app support add versatility for live events, conferences, churches, and production spaces.
