AlphaTheta SLAB Description

Co-developed by AlphaTheta and Serato, the AlphaTheta SLAB offers direct, tactile control of Serato Studio’s advanced sampling and beat-making tools. When connected, it unlocks the full version of Serato Studio instantly—no license required—making it ideal for beginners and seasoned producers alike. The controller features 16 velocity- and aftertouch-sensitive RGB pads that let you trigger samples, apply effects, or manipulate loops with precision. A 130mm LED touch strip brings expressive control to filters, pitch, FX, and swing. Above the pads, 4 dedicated pad mode buttons streamline your workflow across performance and production modes. The integrated OLED screen displays detailed parameter feedback and software integration info, even in low light. Touch-sensitive encoders allow immediate access to EQ, stems, effects, and plugin parameters using Serato’s Focus Control—no manual mapping needed. The application control section helps speed up sample slicing, loop editing, and favorites tagging. While purpose-built for Serato Studio, SLAB also supports Serato Sample, Serato DJ Pro, and other DAWs via MIDI mode. Compact and smaller than a sheet of paper, it’s perfect for mobile studios or tight setups. With a sleek two-tone gray design and premium AlphaTheta build, SLAB blends performance-grade hardware with creative freedom.
