Carvin Audio TRx3900F is a precision-engineered passive column array speaker pair designed for long-throw performance and controlled coverage. Each column features nine matched 3.5” drivers arranged in a tightly aligned vertical array, forming a coherent line source that delivers smooth frequency response from 110Hz to 18kHz with consistent tonal balance across near and far listening positions.

Carvin Audio TRx3900F Description

The Carvin Audio TRx3900F avoids traditional column speaker compromises by utilizing identical 3.5” transducers throughout the array rather than mixing separate HF and mid drivers. This uniform driver topology maintains continuous vertical coupling, minimizes distortion, and enhances long-distance clarity. When two columns are stacked, all eighteen drivers operate together as a unified acoustic source for increased efficiency and projection.

With 120° horizontal coverage and tightly controlled 10° vertical dispersion, the TRx3900F reduces ceiling and floor reflections while maintaining articulate speech and musical detail. The controlled vertical pattern significantly reduces stage wash and feedback, making it ideal for live performance, houses of worship, and installed systems.

Each column pair is rated at 126dB continuous and 129dB peak SPL, with a 4Ω passive configuration powered directly from a compatible subwoofer amplifier such as the TRx3118A. When ground-stacked on a subwoofer, the extended vertical height creates an acoustic aperture capable of projecting intelligible sound over 400 feet depending on environmental conditions.

Designed for touring and installation flexibility, the enclosure includes eight integrated M10 fly points for secure suspension. The rotating base allows nearly 360° horizontal swivel, and each column section can be independently rotated to adapt to asymmetrical room layouts or expanded coverage requirements.
