The handcrafted true-condenser capsules use gold-sputtered diaphragms and are engineered to deliver clear, uncolored sound across a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range.

Each microphone uses a tightly controlled supercardioid/lobar pickup pattern to focus on the desired source while reducing unwanted off-axis sound. This makes the pair especially useful for live IEM crowd microphones, concert recording, on-set dialogue, broadcast applications, orchestral spot miking, percussion, drum overheads, and stereo recording setups.

Integrated controls provide added flexibility for changing sound-pressure levels and environments. A switchable attenuation pad offers 10 dB or 20 dB of signal reduction, increasing maximum SPL handling from 137 dB to as much as 157 dB. The switchable 80 Hz and 160 Hz low-cut filter can reduce rumble, footfall noise, and excessive low-frequency energy while helping compensate for proximity effect.

The microphones are housed in durable all-metal die-cast bodies for reliable use on stage, in studios, and on location.
