A highly focused supercardioid polar pattern helps isolate the performer from surrounding stage sound by reducing unwanted off-axis pickup. This focused response supports excellent gain-before-feedback, making the capsule particularly useful on loud stages where vocal definition, monitor rejection, and controlled bleed are important.

The V8 MC2 Black provides a wide 25 Hz–21,000 Hz frequency range with a sensitivity of 2.2 mV/Pa (-53 dBV) and an electrical impedance of 300 ohms.
